‘President Pelosi’ Trends After Nikki Haley Suggests Joe Biden, Kamala Harris Resign
Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley’s latest interview resulted in “President Pelosi” becoming a trending topic on Twitter after she suggested President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris should resign.
On Wednesday, Haley made an appearance on “The Guy Benson Show,” where she criticized Biden’s response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“It’s absolutely cringe-worthy listening to Biden’s press conference because literally, you never show your cards especially when you don’t have any. And that’s literally what he did,” she told Benson.
Haley also suggested if Biden cared about America, he and Harris would resign. In such a situation, the speaker of the house would become president. Like Biden and Harris, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a Democrat and has often drawn the ire of Republicans.
“Honestly, for the good of our country, if Biden loved our country, he would step down and take Kamala with him. Because the foreign policy situation is beyond dangerous at this point,” Haley said.
Haley tweeted similar sentiments on Thursday morning, which resulted in “President Pelosi” trending on Twitter.
“If Nikki Haley was smart, she would know if Biden and Harris resigned we’d get President Pelosi. Duh!” one user posted.
Another user suggested Pelosi explain the line of succession to a potentially confused Haley. “Nikki Haley knows that if the president and VP step down, we don’t have another election, right? Maybe Speaker of the House Pelosi should explain this to her?” the user pointed out.
During her interview, Haley told Benson she thought the Biden administration’s response to the conflict would result in an unsafe world.
“My only hope and prayer is that they get it together and realize that this isn’t about America. This isn’t about NATO. This is about all of us. This is about safety. This is about strength. This is about freedom winning,” Haley said.
Haley’s comments come amid rising tensions between Russia and the U.S., after the president and other officials warned Russia would face consequences if it invaded Ukraine.
