Mom-shamers beware, because Shay Mitchell isn't putting up with the nonsense.

The "Pretty Little Liars" alum, who announced the birth of her daughter with Matte Babel on Oct. 20, took to social media on Tuesday to defend herself against the internet trolls who thought it was unacceptable that she took some time away from her newborn.

"I haven't been really checking my comments that often, but apparently people are really upset that I left three days after having a kid to go out and party," Mitchell posted on her Instagram Stories. According to Entertainment Tonight, she made the comments in a video that showed her scrolling through the comments on her Instagram page.

"It wasn't three days and I left her with [my dog] Angel," she joked.

The critical comments were in response to news that the new mom attended Drake's birthday party on Oct. 24 -- just three days after her Instagram birth announcement.

Like everything on the internet, though, things are not always as they seem. Mitchell never actually confirmed her daughter's birth, so technically, it's unclear how much time actually passed between the two events. Of course, after nine months of carrying a child (and swollen feet), some surely she deserves a night out.

The 32-year-old first announced her pregnancy with a surprise Instagram post and Youtube video on June 28. She also shared her pregnancy journey on her YouTube series "Almost Ready" and released her labor and delivery video on Oct. 21.
