Prepare to absolutely freak out, “Pretty Little Liars” fans! ABC Family has released the Season 5 premiere synopsis for “PLL” and it is just as mind-blowing as you had hoped.

According to the synopsis, Ezra’s life will hang in the balance when Season 5 premieres on June 10. And Ezra’s fate isn’t just important because we want his on-and-off relationship with Aria to continue. The English teacher MUST stay alive because he’s the only one who knows the identity of “A.”

The synopsis for Season 5, episode 1 confirms that the premiere title is “EscApe From New York.” The episode will begin right after the Season 4 finale left off -- with Aria, Spencer, Emily, Hanna and Alison on a New York City rooftop. “Pretty Little Liars” fans will remember that in the final moments off the Season 4 finale, Ezra busted onto the roof to save the girls from “A.” But when he confessed to knowing the identity of their tormentor, a physical battle ensued … resulting in Ezra getting shot in the gut. The episode ended with “A” jumping to another rooftop, and Aria clutching Ezra while her friends yelled for help.

Judging by the previously released promo video for Season 5, it appears as if the Liars will manage to get Ezra to a hospital. But the teens quickly realize that Ezra’s still in “grave danger.” And as long as he is the one person who truly knows the identity of “A,” Mr. Fitz is not safe.

The premiere will find Aria standing watch over her on-and-off again boyfriend in an effort to protect him. But that doesn’t mean her friends are hanging out in the waiting room. Alison and the others will set up a trap to “finally flush out ‘A.’” And their plan to catch someone will work … but the person “ensnared” in their trap will be a shocker.

“Pretty Little Liars” fans can also look forward to seeing Officer Holbrook in the Season 5 premiere. The Rosewood police officer will be doing everything he can to find the Liars after the search of a Philadelphia building turned up empty. And that’s not all -- he’ll also be putting the Hastings family “on alert.”

Meanwhile, viewers can also look forward to seeing Mona … who is “not pleased” to learn about Alison’s “resurrection.”
