‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6B Spoilers: Sasha Pieterse’s Alison Pictured In New Opening Title Sequence [PHOTO]
"Pretty Little Liars" is getting a new opening-title sequence for Season 6B, and fans of the ABC Family series will be happy to know all five girls will be featured in it alive and well. Creator Marlene King shared the first look at the new sequence in an Instagram photograph Friday.
"TBT to the day we shot the new PLL opening title sequence," King captioned the photo tagging all five Liars: Troian Bellisario (Spencer), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Lucy Hale (Aria), Shay Mitchell (Emily) and Sasha Pieterse (Alison). Check out the photo here.
In the image, the girls are all wearing little black dresses with their backs to the camera. It's assumed they will be standing in front of a casket, as in past opening-title sequences, but it's unclear who will be in the casket.
"Pretty Little Liars" has used the same opening title since the show's 2010 debut, which featured Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer standing behind Ali's casket. Now that fans know Ali is alive, it makes sense for the series to change the title sequence.
According to TVLine, King told fans last month via Twitter that the Season 6B opening-title sequence would also feature all five girls getting to "Shh," instead of just Hale's character. As of now, it's unclear whether the show's producers plan to keep The Pierces’ "Secret" as the theme song.
As previously reported, Season 6B will have a five-year time jump and reveal what each of the girls has been doing since college. King also teased fans on Twitter, writing that they had already filmed the finale for the second half of the season.
"I'm blown away by how awesome the 'PLL' cast and crew R. This finale takes us to a new and provocative place. What a ride. #FiveYearsLater," she wrote, adding in another tweet: "Spoiler alert. This is the most romance we have had ina finale for like ever."
"Pretty Little Liars" returns to ABC Family with new episodes in January.
