'Pretty Little Liars' Star Lucy Hale Dishes On Cast Reunion, How Fans Can Contribute
Lucy Hale is not keeping her excitement for the "Pretty Little Liars" reunion a secret.
As one of the stars of the show, which aired on Freeform for seven seasons from 2010 until 2017, she dished that she is looking forward to catching up with her former co-stars while helping people in need amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday, cast members Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Tyler Blackburn, Ian Harding, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish, and Sasha Pieterse are expected to join the 30-year old actress for the reunion, which will benefit Feeding America.
"A lot has happened [since the show wrapped], and there's babies, and marriages, and I just can't wait to catch up," Hale told ET Online. "And do it all along with everyone watching... [It's] such an amazing cause. I'm looking forward to it."
One unique feature of the event, different from other cast reunions, is that fans will have an opportunity to call in and chat with the "PLL" stars.
"It'll just be good to connect with people. I just want to have conversations. And not only with people that I haven't seen in two years, but [with] all the fans that are calling in," Hale said.
"I think it's just gonna be a lot of positive energy and a lot of love," she continued. "And hopefully we can just distract each other for...a couple of hours. So hopefully we can just have a good time and kind of forget about everything for a second and just check in with everybody."
The "Katy Keene" star also offered her thoughts on a future "Pretty Little Liars" series or movie, which she said is "possible," but certainly not something that would not be happening anytime soon.
"We're in a quarantine that we thought would last a couple weeks. Anything is possible at this point," Hale said. "I don't rule anything out, [but] I feel like we'd need a little more time to pass. I feel like we would get more out of it if we were, like, 10 years down the road."
"I feel like they're gonna do a spinoff or something before then. I don't know. I'm so protective of this show," Hale continued. "So I feel like when the time comes that they want to do it with a whole new cast, I might have to produce it because I'm way too protective of it."
The "Pretty Little Liars" cast reunion, hosted through Cast4Good, kicks off Friday, May 15, at 3 p.m. EDT. Fans can buy tickets to the virtual event here.
