Prince Andrew Follows Prince Harry, Meghan’s Footsteps By Traveling To This Country
Prince Andrew followed in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle footsteps by traveling to Australia for an official engagement.
Alice Scarsi, a journalist for Express, revealed that Prince Andrew landed in Sydney a few days back to kickoff his nine-day tour of the continent. On his social media account, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s third child shared a snap of the Sydney Harbor Bridge and wrote, “Good morning Sydney! #pitchatpalace On Tour Sydney takes place later today @sydneyoperahouse.”
Pitch at Palace is an initiative founded by Prince Andrew aimed at providing talented entrepreneurs with a platform and connections with leading personalities in their sectors. Pitch at the Palace’s website states that they give entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet people that can help make their business dreams a reality.
Prince Andrew also shared a photo of himself with Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife Jenny. Last year, the dad of two also went to Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.
Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband’s trip to Australia came just weeks after Prince Harry and Markle wrapped up their 16-day tour in the country, as well as in Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand. The royal couple’s tour was regarded a huge success.
But the royal couple received sad news this week after it was reported that one of the teens they met during their trip to New Zealand passed away. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met Eva McGauley at a private reception at the Government House in New Zealand three weeks ago.
The 19-year-old battled with nasopharyngeal cancer, a rare form of head and neck cancer, for three years. On her Instagram account, it has been announced that McGauley didn’t survive.
“We are heartbroken to tell you all that Eva left us yesterday morning. It was very fast and peaceful and she was surrounded by her loved ones. Thank you so much to all of you who have followed Eva’s journey and supported her dreams,” her family wrote (via Express).
