Prince Andrew traveled to Australia recently to deflect from the ongoing sex scandal reports linking him to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. But the Duke of York’s trip was dubbed as unsuccessful.

It is common for royal fans to flock the streets whenever the members of the royal family are visiting specific locations and countries. But for the first time in history, only one royal fan waited for the dad of two when he arrived on the continent.

Renae Grljusich-Poolman, a teacher, was the only person who witnessed the arrival of Prince Andrew at the Murdoch University in Perth. The royal fan said that even though the turnout was disappointing, it didn’t really come as surprise considering the backlash that Prince Andrew is facing at the moment.

It is also important to note that Prince Andrew ranks far behind in the line of succession and even though he’s considered as a working royal, he is not as popular as his older brother Prince Charles, and the latter’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

As such, when Prince Charles got into an affair with Camilla, royal fans still wanted to see the heir to the throne during his engagements even though they didn’t support his personal choices.

Meanwhile, a source close to Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband recently claimed that Prince Andrew ended his friendship with Epstein years ago. During the royal’s trip to New York in 2010, Prince Andrew reportedly met up with the convicted sex offender to tell him that they could no longer be friends.

The absurd claim was released in an attempt to deny any link that Prince Andrew had with Epstein. However, royal experts and critics are not convinced that the Duke of York would travel across the world to inform Epstein that they could no longer be friends.

It has also been revealed that Epstein threw a party for Prince Andrew at that time. A celebration wouldn’t have made sense if the dad of two gave Epstein bad news during his visit.

But a source also said that Epstein only regarded Prince Andrew as his trophy friend.
