Prince Carl Philip And Sofia Hellqvist Enjoy Summer Break With Family In St. Tropez

Sofia Hellqvist and her husband, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, seem to be enjoying married life. The young newlyweds are currently enjoying their summer holiday in St. Tropez. The young royals were spotted showing some PDA during a trip to the French Riviera on Saturday.

Former swimsuit model Sofia, 30, opted to cover up during their beach stroll in a flowing dress while Carl Philip, 36, showed off his toned physique by going shirtless. The pair was joined on a boat by his parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, who wore a white ensemble.

Carl Philip and Sofia were spotted on a small rubber boat leaving the yacht for the day as the sun started to set, People reported. The 36-year-old prince, who made it to Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed list, jumped out of the small boat and pulled it ashore before they all went inside. Later this month, Princess Sofia and her husband will undertake their first royal tour on their own when they visit the county of Värmland.

Carl Philip and Sofia’s vacation comes nearly two months after their grand royal wedding in Stockholm on June 13. After exchanging their vows, the pair jetted off on their honeymoon, which reportedly included a stop in Fiji.

Meanwhile, for the Swedish royals, it has been an exciting summer. In addition to the wedding, Carl Philip’s sister Princess Madeleine gave birth to a baby boy, Prince Nicolas, just two days after she attended the nuptials. In July, Carl Philip had another reason to celebrate when he won the second STCC race in Falkenberg.

The royal couple made their first post-wedding official public appearance together when they attended Crown Princess Victoria’s 38th birthday in July. They traveled to their official summer residence, Solliden Palace, on the island of Ӧland for the celebration.

Carl Philip was looked dashing in a striped grey suit and matching trousers. He paired his formal look with a crisp white shirt, navy tie and a white pocket square. Black lace-up shoes, wedding ring and a gold watch completed his look.

His wife Sofia glowed in a monochrome ensemble. The 30-year-old’s simple outfit consisted of a white sleeveless top in brocade with floral embellishments. She paired the top with a black knee-length skirt, which showed off her enviable legs.
