Prince Celebration 2017: How To Get Tickets To Anniversary Event At Paisley Park
It’s hard to believe but it has been seven months since music legend Prince passed away and in just a few months, fans will be able to celebrate the “Purple Rain” singer’s life for his one-year anniversary.
From April 20 to April 23, Prince’s Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota, which has been turned into a museum, will host Celebration 2017. The four-day event will honor artist’s life and will be open to fans.
Tickets for the event will start at $499 and will grant fans access to panel discussions, guided tours and performances from The Revolution, Morris Day & the Time, New Power Generation and 3RDEYEGIRL.
“Celebration 2017 will honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Prince, as the world marks the first anniversary of his passing,” reads a post on the Paisley Park website.
“Bringing together musicians, creative personnel, special guests and friends who worked closest with Prince and knew him best, these four days will feature live music, panel discussions and presentations on Prince’s tremendous talent, influence and importance as a composer, musician, producer, live performer and filmmaker,” it continued.
VIP passes are also available for $999 and will feature the same the access as general admission as well as VIP concert seating, on-site parking, photo and autograph opportunities, exclusive merchandise and a meal pass.
The one caveat with the tickets is that photos and video will not be permitted. The website warns that anyone caught taking photos or videos at Paisley Park will be “banned permanently from the property.”
Aside from Celebration 2017, Warner Bros. has celebrated Prince’s life with the recent release of “4Ever” — the first Prince release since his 2016 death. The two-disc album features 40 songs from Prince’s tenure with Warner Bros. Records and also includes the hit single, “Batdance.”
