Charles, Prince of Wales, was offered a very different royal title.

The royal, who is next in line to inherit the throne to the British monarchy, was offered the title of Prince of Transylvania, too, the Associated Press reported Thursday.

The mayor of the city of Alba Iulia in Transylvania, who was not named, presented the additional title to Charles for his “promotion” of the Romanian region. Charles has taken to visiting Romania annually and owns two properties in the country, according to the Washington Post. He even spent a few days in the southeastern European country during a recent, week-long European tour with wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. The pair spent three days in Romania – where Prince Charles famously participated in a traditional folk dance during the visit.

In the past, Charles revealed he shares a bloodline with the infamous Transylvanian character “Vlad the Impaler,” the inspiration for the horror character Count Dracula.

A spokesperson to the mayor told the AP Charles had not responded to the offer, but that he was surely worthy of the title for being “more Romanian than many Romanians.”

Offering an existing royal an additional title, like “prince,” is not entirely uncommon. Indeed, Charles already carries other titles like Duke of Cornwall, Earl of Chester, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

While there is a royal family of Romania, the monarchy does not rule. Talk of the restoration of the Romanian monarchy resurfaced when the wife of King Michael, Anne of Romania, passed away in 2016, although she never officially held the title of Queen, BBC News reported last August.
