Prince Charles Blamed For Prince Harry’s Controversial Nazi Costume For This Reason

Prince Charles was reportedly blamed for Prince Harry’s controversial Nazi costume from years ago.

In Katie Nicholl’s 2011 book “The Making of a Royal Romance,” the author said that the press pointed their fingers at Prince Charles for what his son has done. Six years earlier, Prince Harry was photographed wearing a Nazi costume during a party.

Nicholl also said that Prince Charles’ mom, Queen Elizabeth II, also seemingly blamed her son because she thought that Prince Harry was acting up because he didn’t get enough attention from his dad.

“British Jews denounced Harry’s outfit as ‘clearly in bad taste’ while the British press pointed the finger once again at Charles, wanting to know why Harry had been allowed to step out at such an offensive costume,” Nicholl wrote (via Express).

Royal fans were also quick to question if Prince Charles gave Prince Harry the advice that he clearly needed during his troubled years. But when the Duke of Sussex’s photo wearing the Nazi costume made frontpage news, Prince Charles was on a New Year break with his wife Camilla Parker Bowles.

“As a future ambassador for the UK and the Commonwealth, Harry ought to have known better and it was the job of his minders to keep him on the straight and narrow,” Nicholl wrote.

The timing of Prince Harry’s photos could have not been worse because they surfaced just days before the sixtieth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Prince Edward was also scheduled to represent the Queen at the extermination camp in Poland as a mark of respect.

Following the incident, Prince Harry issued a heartfelt apology to everyone that he might have offended.

“I am very sorry if I caused any offense or embarrassment to anyone. It was a poor choice of costume and I apologize,” he said.

Since then, Prince Harry’s life has become much better. He is now married to Meghan Markle, and they are expecting their first child together. His relationship with Prince Charles has also improved tremendously especially after his royal wedding.
