Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles Wear Matching Outfits In Latest Engagement
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles wore matching outfits on Friday when they met the jockeys following The Prince's Countryside Fund Raceday at Ascot Racecourse.
On the said outing, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall opted for brown coats in different shade as shown in these photos.
Camilla paired her outfit with matching hat and bag. She complemented her outfit with black boots and gloves. Prince Charles donned tartan pants similar to the pattern of Camilla's coat and a pair of brown shoes.
Just recently, royal commentator Dickie Arbiter spoke about Camilla's title when Prince Charles takes over the throne. According to him, there's only one title for Camilla and that would be Queen Consort.
"When the Prince of Wales does become king, which could still be a long time off, she will become queen consort," Arbiter told Express. "There is no other title for the wife of the king."
Royal commentator Joe Little shares Arbiter's opinion. According to him, Camilla will likely be queen.
"I think that Prince Charles when king would want his wife’s title to reflect his new status," royal expert Joe Little said. "When the time comes I think we will have a Queen Camilla."
"We're 13 years on from the wedding and the public know much more about Camilla than they did then," Little added. "Clarence House's stance is that she will still be Princess Consort, yet that assertion no longer appears on their website."
In related news, Camilla's growing importance and influence in the royal family have become more noticeable. Previous reports claimed that Her Majesty called the duchess a "wicked woman" and even said that she would "have nothing to do with" Camilla. However, their relationship has dramatically changed.
Camilla overtakes Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle in Queen Elizabeth II's pecking order. In addition, the monarch also recognized her on Prince Charles' 70th birthday when she gave a speech for the toast.
"Over his 70 years, Philip and I have seen Charles become a champion of conservation and the arts, a great charitable leader – a dedicated and respected heir to the throne to stand comparison with any in history – and a wonderful father," the Queen said.
"Most of all, sustained by his wife Camilla, he is his own man, passionate and creative. So this toast is to wish a happy birthday to my son, in every respect a duchy original. To you Charles. To the Prince of Wales."
