Prince Charles will be a very different head of state from Queen Elizabeth II.

MP Paul Flynn previously expressed his concerns over the heir to the throne’s reign during his interview with The Times. He called Prince Charles’ moves and actions as suicidal.

In the past, the Prince of Wales has been expressing his opinions on non-neutral matters such as politics. However, this is something that the Queen avoided throughout her reign. As such, some experts and politicians are worried that Prince Charles’ actions may imperil his mother’s neutrality.

“The only reason why the monarchy and the Queen are successful is that she has kept out of all political decisions, and the only way it can continue to survive as an institution is if the monarchy is seen to be above politics. If he is going to find it irresistible to interfere in politics – sometimes on the side of sense, sometimes on the side of nonsense – then the monarchy would be in grave peril with him as head of state,” Flynn said.

Flynn went on to predict that the monarchy could collapse under Prince Charles’ leadership. Liberal Democrat Paul Holmes MP said that the monarch needs to make a choice between being a neutral head of state or someone who is politically active.

“If they are politically active, they can’t be the monarchy. If he is trying to exploit his position as a future monarch then that’s unacceptable,” he said.

In the past, Prince Charles has also expressed his opinions on the controversial topic of religion. In the documentary “The Madness of Prince Charles,” it was revealed that the heir to the throne’s views on religion go against the long-standing tradition in the royal family.

“He has praised Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, the Greek Orthodox church and other un-Orthodox beliefs, going against the traditional stance taken since the reign of Henry VIII,” the narrator said.

According to Reverend Gordon Warren, if Prince Charles can’t be the supreme governor of the Church of England then he should just abdicate.
