Prince Charles Made Secret Visits Just Like Princess Diana; But To Where?
Princess Diana is known to have made secret visits to sex workers and HIV/AIDS patients. Now, it has also been revealed that Prince Charles did a similar thing.
“This Morning” presenter Phillip Schofield said that the future king previously went to prisons to talk to young people after the London riots. While at the Prince’s Trust Invest in Futures Gala Dinner last week, the ambassador for the Prince’s Trust also praised Prince Charles for being active.
“The London riots that we had, the awful time that we went through, the Prince’s Trust was on the ground. He was in jail cells, quietly, secretly, saying: ‘What’s happened here? What’s happened in your community?’ and someone said to him: ‘What community?’” he said (via Express).
Following the visit, Schofield said that Prince Charles learned an important thing and that is to create new schemes to help people. He said that the Prince of Wales writes and thinks a lot, which makes him utterly and completely active.
Meanwhile, Princess Diana also made a lot of secret visits to charities and other places while she was still alive. Ryan Phelan, an Australian TV host, recently said that Meghan Markle should have taken a leaf out of Princess Diana’s book and made her visit sex workers a secret.
He said that Princess Diana typically got out in the middle of the night when there were no cameras around to talk and lift the spirits of the sex workers. He said that Markle’s decision to write inspiring messages on banana peels is patronizing.
Princess Diana also reportedly visited the London Lighthouse AIDS center in secret. Ian Green, chief executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust, said that he has heard multiple stories of how the mom of two would pop into the lighthouse with no media in tow to spend time with people who were very ill.
Green praised the Princess of Wales for her compassion and desire to comfort people and said that she is the true champion of HIV awareness.
