Prince Charles, Meghan Markle Developed Strong Bond Due To ‘Rebellious’ Personalities
Prince Charles and Meghan Markle have developed a strong bond with each other due to a special connection.
Lord Charles Shaughnessy, who will play the role of Prince Charles in the film “Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal,” said that he has been studying the heir to the throne together with his relationship with Markle and found an authentic connection between the two.
“A personal surprise for me while doing research was to learn about the authentic connection between Meghan and Prince Charles, not just as people, but as rebels who see eye to eye on so many things,” he told Express.
Prince Charles and Markle’s relationship was off to a good start after they were introduced to each other by Prince Harry. But their bond was strengthened on Markle’s wedding day when Prince Charles decided to walk her down the aisle.
The “Suits” alum’s dad could not make it to his daughter’s wedding day since he was still recovering from a stroke at that time. Prince Harry asked Prince Charles to walk his soon-to-be-wife down the aisle, and the future King immediately agreed.
According to a source, Prince Charles has also been supportive of Markle and everything that she has been going through with her own father. The Duchess of Sussex has not spoken to her dad in months.
Meanwhile, the Lifetime film will also focus on Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding, as well as the Duchess of Sussex’s alleged feud with Kate Middleton. Screenwriter Scarlett Lacy recently told Vanity Fair that the royal wedding will play a huge part in the upcoming project.
“Like any movie in the wedding genre, however, the buildup and the aftermath matter as much as the wedding itself. This film deals with the drama of planning a wedding: the moment you’d much rather elope, the moment your family might mess it all up – and they nearly do!” she said.
"Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal" will be released on May 27.
