Prince Charles On Meghan Markle’s Side For This Touching Reason, Sparks Favoritism Rumors
Prince Charles has been showing his support for Meghan Markle ever since she joined the royal family. A source recently said that the heir to the throne’s stand when it comes to the Duchess of Sussex has not changed amid all of the criticisms being thrown at her.
While speaking with Grazia, the source said, “Prince Charles has a lot of fondness for Meghan. He’s made it clear that he backs Meghan’s philanthropy and charity work, and that the whole household should get on-side.”
Tensions between Prince Harry’s wife and the palace have been ripe ever since the “Suits” alum created her own rules instead of thinking about the royal family. Markle was also criticized for not updating her royal advisers regarding her pregnancy with Archie.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex desperately wanted to keep the birth of their son private. In fact, they announced through the palace that Archie’s christening will be a private event. The names of his godparents have not also been revealed.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles showing his support for his daughter-in-law and encouraging the royal staff to do the same just sparked favoritism rumors once again. In the past, the future King was rumored to favor Markle over Kate Middleton.
There have also been claims suggesting that Prince Charles is closer to Prince Harry’s wife than Prince William’s wife. This is because the Prince of Wales agreed to walk Markle down the aisle on her wedding day last year.
A tabloid also reported last year that Prince Charles likes Markle more than Middleton because he could relate to the issues that she is facing at the moment. An unnamed source said that Prince Charles would do anything for his daughter-in-law.
“Harry is very protective of Meghan, but Charles would also do anything for her. He admires the way she handled all of this with grace, and although she’s resilient, Meghan knows that she can lean on Charles whenever she needs to,” the source said.
