Prince Charles Not Thinking About Becoming King, 'Lives In The Present'
Prince Charles is not focusing on becoming a king at the moment, according to a producer.
The Prince of Wales knows and understands that one day he will be the next monarch. However, he is apparently not living for that day because he is enjoying his current title every day. According to royal television producer Nick Bullen, the royal, who just celebrated his 70th birthday, "very much lives in the present."
"I don’t think he thinks about it a lot. He is a man who very much lives in the present," Bullen told Fox News. "And all of the programs we’ve made with him, he’s very now. He has a job to do as the Prince of Wales, which he does willingly… If you speak to him, sure, he’s aware he will be king one day, but that will come at its time. So not too much can be done now if you really think about it."
Bullen added that the only time Prince Charles will become a king is when Queen Elizabeth II dies, so it is something that the heir doesn't concentrate on. However, he believes that when the time comes for the Prince of Wales to take over, he will surely do his job well.
"And also, there’s the fact that for him to become king, then very sadly his mother has to die. So I guess it’s not something anyone wants to focus on, least of all her son," he continued. "[And] when you speak with the family, you don’t necessarily get the sense that he’s thinking about the top job. He’s thinking about how he can be the most effective Prince of Wales today… He just wants to do the job really, really well. When he becomes king, he’ll do that job really, really well."
In related news, Nick Bieber of Daily Star claimed that Prince Charles is taking over the throne soon. The journalist claimed that Her Majesty will trigger the "regency act" that will make Prince Charles a prince regent "a king in all but name." He added that there will be a big change over in three years.
"And just this week major preparations were already being ramped up in the run-up to the big takeover on April 21, 2021," Bieber wrote.
