Prince Charles and his son, Prince Harry, did three similar things during their respective weddings.

The Prince and Princess of Wales' and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal weddings were straight out of a fairytale. Both events were grand and special. And during his nuptials, Prince Harry was seen mirroring his father in more ways than one.

They praised their brides

Prince Harry wasn’t able to stop himself from praising Meghan Markle’s beauty when he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time at the altar. “You look amazing,” the Duke of Sussex said before biting his lip, adding that he was so lucky.

The Prince of Wales did the same gesture when he saw Princess Diana on their wedding day. When Prince Charles saw his bride, he was mesmerized by her beauty and spoke sweet words to assure the People’s Princess that she had his eyes on that day.

“At the altar awaiting Prince Charles assured his bride-to-be: ‘You look beautiful,’” he was quoted as saying by Netflix’s documentary “The Queen’s Diamond Decades.”

They invited their exes

Prince Harry invited two of his exes when he exchanged “I do’s” with Markle. Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas were both seen at the event.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles invited Camilla Parker Bowles when he tied the knot with Princess Diana. The Prince of Wales and the now-Duchess of Cornwall dated first before they met their first spouses, Princes Diana and Andrew Parker Bowles, respectively. However, the royals didn’t approve of Camilla for the future king because she apparently wasn’t aristocratic enough and was considered to be a woman with experience.

“It was absolutely vital to have on the throne somebody who was a virgin,” Dr. Piers Brendan said.

They stroked their cheeks during their vows

The Prince of Wales reportedly cried because he didn’t love his bride and the woman he truly loved had to witness him marrying another lady.
