Prince Charles Said This Surprising Joke At Engagement And Queen Wasn’t Happy
Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II came together for the D-Day at Portsmouth, and they also posed a photo with other world leaders.
While there, the future king was heard cracking a joke that made the likes of President Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau laugh. However, the Queen seemed unamused by her eldest son’s remark.
During Prince Charles and Trump’s conversation with veterans, the dad of two was photographed laughing his heart out at something that he said. However, the Queen kept a straight face and she also looked stern.
While speaking with Piers Morgan, Trump revealed that he and Prince Charles were talking about climate change. However, it is unclear if the latter’s joke had something to do with it.
“What he really wants and what he feels about is the future. He wants the best climate for the future… He wants a good climate and not a disaster,” Trump said.
Trump also shared a hilarious moment with 93-year-old veteran Thomas Cuthbert. The latter pointed to Trump’s wife and said that if only he was 20 years younger, he might have attracted Melania Trump.
The president of the United States laughed at the comment and told Cuthbert that he could have handled Melania. Following their encounter, the veteran said that it was a pleasure to meet Trump.
“He surprised me when you see someone on the TV but he seemed different, he seemed one of the boys. His wife was very pleasant too,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Queen also gave a heartwarming speech to the veterans. She said that the wartime generation, which is the generation that she belongs to, is resilient. In her speech, the monarch also mentioned her late father, King George VI.
Towards the end of her speech, the Queen took the time to thank the veterans for their heroism, courage, and sacrifice. She also said that those who have died and those who have survived will never be forgotten.
