Prince Charles Was Jealous Of Princess Diana Because She Had Something He Didn’t

Prince Charles has been accused of being jealous of Princess Diana when she was still alive.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans shared their thoughts on the matter and they all agreed that the future King was indeed jealous of his ex-wife.

Sallie Smythe, an avid reader of royal biographies, said that Princess Diana possessed something that Prince Charles didn’t have even though he was the heir to the throne.

“Shy Di realized that she had something that her husband didn’t – star power. He had the Royal blood, but she had the face… People loved her, children lover her, journalists and cameramen went into battle to get the best shots of her… Nobody cared that the heir to the throne was here, Diana was wearing a new dress,” she said.

But Smythe also noted the fact that Prince Charles and Princess Diana weren’t to be blamed for how the public treated them. It just so happened the royal fans became more drawn to the Princess of Wales than the Prince of Wales.

Jacquie Maurice, a retired employee, said that Prince Charles must have been jealous of Princess Diana because he didn’t want to be eclipsed by the most beautiful woman on the earth.

“I would imagine it was quite difficult for Prince Charles to accept the fact that all the attention was being focused on Princess Diana. He was brought up with everything centered around him leading to the day he would ascend to the throne,” she said.

Sue McCune Martin, an avid reader of royal biographies, said that Prince Charles didn’t like all of the attention that Princess Diana got. And when the Princess of Wales realized the power she had on royal fans, she didn’t make things easier for Prince Charles.

Princess Diana was accused of enjoying all of the attention that she received and for leaving Prince Charles looking like the odd man out while they are out in public.
