- Prince George thinks he's better at football than Princess Charlotte
- Prince George loves listening to "Three Lions" every morning
Prince George and Princess Charlotte are following the footsteps of Prince William and Prince Harry.
While growing up, the royal siblings were quite competitive with each other. In fact, during one of their feuds, the Duke of Sussex told the Duke of Cambridge that he would gladly take over his role as the king of Britain if he doesn’t want it.
During an interview with Hello! magazine, 14-year-old Olivia Hancock detailed the conversation she had with Prince William at an event. According to the teenager, Prince George and Princess Charlotte love football.
Prince William told Hancock that whenever Princess Charlotte’s in goal, her older brother would tell her that he’s better than her. When Prince William heard this, he told his eldest child that Princess Charlotte could be as good as him.
Meanwhile, Prince George’s obsession with football goes beyond watching and playing the sport itself. Comedian Frank Skinner, who recorded the song “Three Lions” with David Baddiel revealed that Prince George insists on listening to his song every morning.
During his appearance on “Lorraine,” Skinner said that it was Prince William who told him about Prince George’s fondness for the track while at the Royal Variety Performance last year.
“I did the handshake and I was first in the line and he spoke to me for a few minutes. He said to me, ‘I listen to your football song every morning’, and I thought, ‘That’s got to be a lie’. Do they lie, the Royal Family?’” he said.
When Skinner asked Prince William if what he was saying was the truth, the Duke of Cambridge said that Prince George insists on playing the song every morning.
In related news, Prince George also made headlines recently after he was linked to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal family.
A source told The Sun that seeing Prince George’s photo with the other heirs to the throne was the last straw for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“That picture was the clearest indication that Harry and Meghan are not considered part of the future of the institution. From that point of view, from that moment on, there was no point hanging around, ” the source said.
