Prince George, Princess Charlotte Have No Back-To-School Photo For This Reason
Prince George and Princess Charlotte have no back to school photos this time.
It has been reported that the 3-year-old princess is now in her nursery class on Wednesday. Meanwhile, her older brother has also returned to school on Thursday. However, there were no official photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte arriving at school.
Insiders told People that royal fans should not expect it because there won't be pictures of Prince William and Kate Middleton's children every year. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have always made a point treating school as a private area to keep the kids away from pressure. So they won't release official photos yearly.
Prince William and Middleton only released Prince George's first day of school portrait last year because it was a significant milestone. It was the third-in-line to the throne's first day at Thomas's Battersea.
The palace also shared photos of Prince George on his first day or preschool back in 2016 at Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk. However, there were no photos in his second year.
The same can be said to Princess Charlotte. Middleton captured her daughter's first day of school portrait in January when she officially started her nursery classes at Willcocks Nursery School. However, there were no photos of the little royal when she returned to school this time.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very strict when it comes to their children's pharmacy. In fact, they implemented a no-fly-zone policy when they were still living at Anmer Hall to prohibit paparazzi and drones from taking photos of their kids in their estate. In addition, they planted 40-foot hedges in front of Kensington Palace to allow Prince George and Princess Charlotte to play outside without being seen from the gates.
However, no matter how careful the couple was, there was a time when a paparazzi caught photos of the two royal babies when they were in the park. The family was distressed that the palace issued a statement stating that "they want both children to be free to play in public and semi-public spaces with other children without being photographed."
Princess Diana's former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, blamed Prince William and Middleton for the incident. According to him, they are in a privileged position and could have let their kids walk around their gardens if they didn't want such intrusion.
