Prince George was previously accused of breaching protocol by former President Barack Obama after they met when he was just 2 years old.
At that time, Prince George was photographed shaking hands with the ex-POTUS while wearing his pajamas. Following their meeting, Obama called Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son adorable.
Michelle Obama’s husband also joked about Prince George’s attire by saying that it showed people were preparing for him to leave the office. The dad of two also said that being greeted by the young royal in his sleepwear was slightly akin to how his political opponents no longer picking up his calls.
“It’s not just the Congress. Even some foreign leaders have been looking ahead, anticipating my departure. Last week, Prince George showed up to our meeting in his bathrobe. That was a slap in the face – a clear breach of protocol,” Obama said.
The former president also made headlines this week after he called for the public to use their common sense when it comes to the deadly coronavirus pandemic. His comments came after Stephen Curry and Dr. Anthony Fauci held a live chat about the virus this week.
After tuning in to their conversation, the ex-POTUS couldn’t help but chime in.
“Listen to science. Do your part and take care of each other. Thank you, Steph and Dr. Fauci,” he said.
During Fauci’s conversation with the famed basketball star, he reiterated what he had been saying about the coronavirus during the White House briefings throughout the past couple of weeks.
“Everybody, until this is over, should practice some degree of physical distancing and care — no big crowds, wash your hands a lot, be careful. There’s a dichotomy between people who are frightened to death and people who don’t even believe it. It’s not convenient to lock yourself in, it’s not convenient for you [Curry] to not be playing basketball ... but we’re going through a time when we have to pull together as a country to not get intimidated and do the kinds of things that can put an end to it,” he said.
