  • Prince George wears a pair of tartan trousers in new photo with Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William
  • Four generations of monarchy in photos
  • Princess Charlotte rules over Princess Charlotte

Prince George posed for another family portrait with the Queen and the future kings.

The royal family shared an adorable snap of the current monarch with the heir apparent and the second- and third-in-line to the throne. Based on the caption, the British family released the snap to mark a new decade for the monarchy.

In the snap, Queen Elizabeth II looks stunning in her white dress. She matches it with her black signature bag and black shoes. In a rare moment, the Queen is not wearing a hat, which she usually does.

Behind the Queen are Prince Charles who is dashing in his gray suit and Prince William who looks smart in his black tie attire. Prince George looks grown up in his white long sleeve and tartan trousers.

Several royal fans gush at how adorable and grown up Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest child has become. Some also praised his tartan pants.

"Prince George is all grown up now, he is looking really handsome,” one commented.

"What an incredible and historic photograph. He majesty looks radiant and so happy. #PrinceGeorge is such a beautiful little boy!" Cate Fortier opined.

“Kudos to whoever decided to put Prince George in Tartan trousers. Scotland represent!” another added.

This isn’t the first photo that featured the current monarch and the three future kings. A few weeks back, Kensington Palace released a photo of the four generations of the royal family. Prince George stole the show with his cuteness.

Although Prince George will be king someday, according to the Queen, his younger sister, Princess Charlotte rules over him. Libby Purves also noticed the same when Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined the traditional Christmas walkabout.

“Charlotte may have an elder brother but I think we can be in no doubt that for now she rules the roost between gentle, quiet George and baby Louis, perhaps in the style of Great-Aunt Anne or her more sociable and rebellious late Great-Great-Aunt Margaret,” Purves wrote. “Right now, she rules: and if and when she does kick over the traces, she'll have worked out that a well-timed curtsey gets most things forgiven.”
