Prince Harry Accompanies Princess Diana To Britain’s Light Dragoons In Throwback Video
Prince Harry accompanied Princess Diana to Britain’s Light Dragoons in Hanover, Germany in July 1993.
In a throwback video, the Princess of Wales is walking beside Prince Harry just months after she and Prince Charles announced their separation. The late royal is wearing a blue long-sleeved top and skirt while Prince Harry is in his suit.
Prince Harry and Princess Diana approached a group of military men after they saluted the royals. Based on the look on the Duke of Sussex’s face, it was evident that he was having a good time while checking out the military base in Germany.
In the next scene, Prince Harry is wearing a military uniform while being accompanied by a military man. The two of them started running towards a military tank and Prince Harry jumped up with the help of two personnel.
Clad in a complete military attire, which includes a beret and a helmet, Prince Harry all smiles as the tank started moving. He also has an earphone on while receiving instructions from military personnel.
By the looks of it, Prince Harry developed an interest in joining the military after Princess Diana took him to the base in Germany. The Princess of Wales made sure to give her two sons a normal life as possible despite the royal status.
When she was still alive, Princess Diana was like any normal mother to her sons. Her close friends previously told Daily Mail that Prince Charles’ ex-wife was so normal that she would also shout at Prince William and Prince Harry at times.
Jacqueline Allen, Princess Diana’s former personal assistant, said that when Prince William was a teenager, Princess Diana encouraged him to clean staff cars for extra money.
“This was Diana, a very normal mother, shouting at the boys sometimes, reprimanding them, especially when there were visitors and yes, slapping them. All so very different from critics who accused her of swamping her sons with love, almost overwhelmingly at times, or questioning whether she was a good mother at all,” she said.
