  • Prince Harry has been exploiting and profiting from Princess Diana's death, Piers Morgan claimed

Prince Harry was recently criticized by “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan for constantly talking about the mental health issues he’s been battling with since Princess Diana’s death.

In his column for Daily Mail, Morgan accused the Duke of Sussex of profiting from and commercially exploiting the tragic passing of the Princess of Wales. The host’s comments came after it was revealed that Prince Harry spoke at a JP Morgan event and was paid a hefty sum for his short appearance.

“There’s a big difference between talking about it to raise public awareness of grief-related mental health issues – and doing it privately for a big fat fee to a bunch of super-rich bankers, business tycoons, politicians, and celebrities,” Morgan said.

“By commercially exploiting his mother’s death to make vast pots of money like this, Harry is surely behaving in exactly the same way he professes to despise from the media,” he added.

This isn’t the first time that Morgan criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Last year, he slammed the royal couple’s decision to take a private plane despite their attempts to promote environmental awareness.

Morgan also has a sore spot for the Duchess of Sussex, who reportedly befriended him when she first visited the United Kingdom years ago. But after Markle met Prince Harry, she ghosted the “GMB” host.

Prince Harry and Markle also made headlines this week after it was announced that their entire London staff has been hired after they announced that they are quitting. A source told Daily Mail that the Sussexes office at Buckingham Palace has also been shut down.

The source added that everything is still being finalized and there are efforts from the royal family’s end to deploy Prince Harry and Markle’s former staff. However, some people will still be laid off to avoid redundancies.

Prince Harry and Markle’s staff were shocked by the announcement especially since the majority of them have been working for the royal family for years.
