Prince Harry has changed a lot after he and Meghan Markle moved to the United States, according to a biographer who closely worked with him in the past.

Angela Levin, author of "Harry," has penned an op-ed about the Duke of Sussex for The Telegraph. She had the opportunity to closely work with Prince William's brother and she noticed that he changed a lot after he and his family moved to the United States. Among the things she observed was Prince Harry losing some of his enviable qualities while his wife, Markle, become one of the most in-demand public speakers.

"Her husband, however, has become a shadow of the prince I once knew," Levin wrote. "Throughout the 15 months I spent with him, he exuded an extraordinary combination of royal stardust, accessibility, confidence and mischief, a mixture that enabled him to connect instantly with people of all ages and types."

Levin recalled how Prince Harry would tell her that what he did was important to him. Also, he always stressed that his actions were authentic.

She also acknowledged how Prince Harry excelled with anyone who had been damaged physically or psychologically. He had given a a number of former servicemen a reason to live and inspired teenagers from dysfunctional homes on how they could change their lives. However, for Levin, those qualities are not as visible today.

"Those enviable qualities are far less visible today," she added. "He seems to have discarded his life as an action man to become an airy-fairy do-gooder. It is so out of character for him to lecture us on how to live our lives."

Levin also mentioned the reports that Prince Harry was asking for a 12-month extension regarding the Megxit deal. She believed that the duke asked it for several reasons like missing his family and the privileges that come along with his previous status.

"He may be keen to reconnect with the charities he once supported, and regain his honorary military titles. Or perhaps he just realises that royalty is forever, but celebrity is not," Levin concluded.

Several netizens were not supportive of the rumored 12-month extension that Prince Harry was allegedly requesting. Many wanted the royal family to just cut off the Sussexes. Meanwhile, the royal couple's supporters believed that they no longer needed their ties to the royal family.
