Prince Harry Dating History: All Of His Girlfriends Over The Past 10 Years
There are probably hundreds of women who would love the chance to date Prince Harry, but only a handful of lucky ladies actually have had the opportunity to call the British royal their beau. While Prince Harry has found himself at the center of several romance rumors throughout his life, the 32-year-old has only been in a two — now three — serious relationships over the past decade.
The royal’s first long-term relationship began in 2004 with Zimbabwe-born Chelsy Davy. According to reports, they met in South Africa when Prince Harry was only 20 years old. The young couple dated off and on for six years before splitting in 2010.
However, Prince Harry and Davy sparked rumors they had reunited a year later when they were spotted grabbing dinner at the exclusive hot spot Clos Maggiore in London. Not long after their date night, Davy accompanied Prince Harry to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s April 2011 wedding. Just a few weeks after attending the royal wedding, Prince Harry and Davy called it quits again.
In June of that year the jewelry designer opened up about the royal romance, telling The Times that the media attention was scary at times. “It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable,” she said. “I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn’t cope.” She added, “I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible.”
After ending things once and for all with Davy, Prince Harry very briefly dated singer Mollie King in 2012. The royal never confirmed the romance, but King admitted to Closer magazine that she and Prince Harry did go out for drinks.
That same year, Prince Harry started dating Cressida Bonas after getting introduced by Bonas’ close friend Princess Eugenie. Throughout Prince Harry and Bonas’ two-year relationship, the pair was often photographed together and even sparked engagement rumors once. However, in April 2014 BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt tweeted that the relationship was over, and Prince Harry and Bonas were going their separate ways.
It was reported at the time that the split was “amicable,” and Prince Harry and Bonas were still the “best of friends.” So what caused the split? There are several rumors why the couple broke up. According to the Daily Telegraph, Bonas couldn’t handle the media attention and the pressure to get married. The Press Association said, however, that the split was to give Bonas time to focus on her career in marketing.
Now, of course, Prince Harry has a new love. He’s been dating “Suits” actress Meghan Markle since October. Although the romance is still very new, it was reported Monday that Prince Harry is a lot “more serious” about Markle than any of his past girlfriends. There’s also chatter that an engagement could be happening in the not-too-distant future.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s already thinking about engagement just because that’s where his head goes but that’s not where the relationship is at right now,” a source recently told E! Online. “This is totally Harry. The problem with Harry is when he falls, he falls hard. He goes in big time.”
