Prince Harry Did This To Kate Middleton Before Marrying Meghan Markle

Prince Harry reportedly asked for Kate Middleton’s approval before marrying Meghan Markle.

Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, told Grazia UK that Markle is Middleton-approved.

“Harry and Kate were very close, she’s been like a mentor to him and he wanted her seal of approval. Kate is different to Meghan in many ways, but she has made great strides to help Meghan settle in,” Nicholl said.

The royal expert also revealed that Middleton previously served as a matchmaker for Prince Harry.

“Harry wasn’t giving up after things ended with exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas, even going on blind dates organized by Kate and his cousin Princess Eugenie, who had a good track record when it came to setting Harry up,” she wrote.

That’s why when Prince Harry felt that he already found the one after dating Markle a couple of times, he went to the Duchess of Cambridge and consulted with her. Middleton instantly approved of Markle, and Nicholl said that the two duchesses’ relationship is still blossoming at the moment.

“Friends say that she is thrilled that the spotlight isn’t on her at a time when she wants to enjoy being with her family and remain relatively low-key,” she said.

In related news, the mom of three has also gone out of her way to be friendly towards to the Duchess of Sussex. Emily Hodgkin, a journalist for Express, said that a source claimed Middleton still reaches out to Markle even though she’s got her hands full with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“It’s a friendship that is still slowly blossoming. Kate has gone out her way to be friendly to Meghan, and Meghan has been grateful for that,” the source said.

Judi James, a royal expert, also said that Markle hero-worships her sister-in-law.

“Kate is always very much the pitch-perfect princess in terms of her regal-but-warm-looking body language and the levels of confidence she displays at royal events… Meghan might be adopting a similar role to try and forge a familiar and very congruent friendship with her sister-in-law,” she said.

Markle and Middleton were last seen together at Wimbledon.
