Prince Harry Ends Friendship With Tom Inskip, Astrid Harbord For These Reasons
Prince Harry has reportedly frozen out his good friend, Tom Inskip, for two reasons.
Adam Helliker, a journalist for Express, revealed that Prince Harry and Inskip’s friendship has a long history, but it is not necessarily a positive one. Inskip was with Prince Harry when he was seen inhaling “hippy crack” or laughing gas at a party.
This kind of life, which Prince Harry used to enjoy, has no place in Meghan Markle’s vocabulary. Since marrying the “Suits” alum, Prince Harry has lived a more responsible life by drinking healthier drinks instead of alcohol, for instance.
“Like several others who were considered a questionable influence on Harry during his bad old bachelor days, Tom has been dropped, even though he himself now has a lovely wife, Lara,” a source said.
Helliker also revealed that Prince Harry is no longer friends with Astrid Harbord, a party-loving PR, who the Duke of Sussex used to be close with. Harbord’s attempts to reach out to Prince Harry through phone calls have not been successful.
“It’s all part of Meghan’s quiet airbrushing out of Harry’s old posse. She doesn’t want temptation – of any sort – being put in his way while they concentrate on starting a family,” another insider told the journalist.
In August, it was reported that Prince Harry and Markle spoke to their circle of friends and urged them to not to the media regarding their relationship or the Duchess of Sussex’s ongoing family feud.
Katie Nicholl, a royal expert, told Vanity Fair, “They both expect a code of silence. If you talk to the press you’re out. Harry didn’t use to care that much about what was written in the press, he just said it was a load of [expletive], but he’s very protective of Meghan and defensive these days.”
One friend that Prince Harry has stayed close with is Tom Hardy. Two months ago, when he was asked to share details about Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding, he said that it’s a deeply private occasion and refused to say anything.
