Is Prince Harry Engaged To Cressida Bonas? Queen Elizabeth ‘Gave Her Blessing’ Despite Concerns Over Bonas' Career
Britain's Prince Harry and his former girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, are back together and the two have got secretly engaged, OK! magazine reported on Wednesday, citing a source. Harry and Bonas dated for two years before their relationship ended in April last year.
“They rekindled their relationship in March,” the source told OK! magazine. “They were determined to keep it to themselves for as long as possible, so they could have a bit of privacy while they were getting used to each other again.” The two have “never been happier together,” the source said, adding that according to the aspiring actress, the prince is “the love of her life.” Before dating Bonas, Harry was in a seven-year relationship with Zimbabwean lawyer Chelsy Davy.
The news comes a month after the fifth in line to the throne said, in an interview with Sky News, that he was ready to settle down and start a family.
Harry, 30, and Bonas, 26, were spotted in September at a screening of Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel’s comedy film “Sex Tape” at Odeon theater in Kensington, London. The on-again, off-again couple's split reportedly made their relationship stronger, the source said.
“Their time apart really brought home to him how perfect she is for him,” the source said, according to OK! magazine. “It took him a while to understand it, but he knows now that Cressida is the only one for him.”
During her split from Harry, Bonas remained close to the members of the royal family including Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Camilla. But Queen Elizabeth does not approve of her. She has, however, reportedly agreed to the alliance for the sake of her grandson.
“The queen is not thrilled about Cressida’s career, because princesses have royal duties to attend to that should be priority,” the source said. “She gave her blessing to the engagement because she wants Harry to settle down and have a family.”
