Prince Harry Had An Embarrassing Moment During Dubai Trip After Doing This
Prince Harry had an embarrassing experience in Dubai.
According to Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, the royals often show off their different skills in public during their overseas royal tours. Their talents may include playing football, dancing in local ceremonies and speaking the local language.
When the Duke of Sussex visited Dubai in 2013, he managed to speak some Arabic to the crown. Unfortunately, Prince Harry's effort didn't impress the crowd.
"It was not pure Arabic and his accent was not authentic at all," local resident Jamal Laaloui, 35, told The National.
In his speech, Meghan Markle's husband attempted to say "Thank you for your generosity and all the very best with Dubai's bid for 2020." Prince Harry' visited the country for a charity fundraiser event. He aimed to raise money for a children's center with his charity Sentebale.
A number of royal family members are linguists. For instance, Queen Elizabeth II is fluent in French. Prince William also once wished China a "Happy New Year" in Mandarin. The Duke of Cambridge and Prince William are the most talented linguist in the family. They can speak up to five languages French, German, Welsh, Swahili, and Gaelic.
Earlier this year, Reader's Digest reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William's children Prince George and Princess Charlotte are learning Spanish. The kids' nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, is a native Spanish speaker, and this helps her in teaching the kids. Sometimes she speaks to the royal kids in her native tongue. In fact, Prince George can reportedly count in Spanish.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are leaving Kensington Palace. The couple has decided to move to Windsor early next year before the arrival of their baby. According to an insider, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to move because they have a tension with Prince William, and no longer wants to live near the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
On the other hand, another source said that the cause of tension was Middleton and Markle's rift. The two duchesses reportedly couldn't "get along well."
However, another source said that while there is some tension, Middleton shouldn't be blamed for Prince Harry and Markle's decision to leave the palace.
"Kate is pretty unflappable and nothing has become bad enough to make Harry and Meghan want to move out," the source said.
