Prince William and Prince Harry reunited at the Commonwealth Day Service last week and eagle-eyed royal fans noticed the tension between the royal siblings. Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s sons barely spoke or looked at each other throughout the entire engagement.

Days later, body language expert Patti Wood told Marie Claire that it was evident Prince William struggled to suppress his real feelings at that time. The Duke of Cambridge also seemed angry at Prince Harry during their last outing as official members of the British clan.

“He's doing a comforting palm, that palm down on his leg, which is comforting and suppressing his emotional state or he's trying to suppress how he's feeling. The fist on top of that is an indication that he is suppressing the slight amount of anger and if you go all the way up to the mouth, he's doing a lip compression, which also says, 'I'm suppressing my true emotional state,’” she said.

According to Wood, Prince William’s furrowed brow revealed that he was feeling angry during the outing. The dad of three also got a slight tight lip suppression, which suggests he has conflicted feelings or that he’s trying to hide his real feelings. Still, there is no denying the fact that he had an angry glare while walking in front of Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, Wood also talked about Kate Middleton’s body language when she reunited with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law. The body language expert noticed how the Duchess of Cambridge slightly pursed her lips, and there was also slight sadness in her eyes.

“The pursing of the lips is more like, ‘this doesn’t taste good to me’, and the sadness in the eye is ‘this is sad,’” Wood said.

Middleton and Markle didn’t also talk to each other during the service at Westminster Abbey. But the future queen reportedly decided to walk in the procession to not make Markle feel left out.
