Prince Harry Makes This Joke At Prince Charles’ Expense In Ireland
Prince Harry made a hilarious joke during his and Meghan Markle’s visit to Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old prince also mentioned his dad, Prince Charles, in the speech that he gave in front of a massive crowd. He said that he was pleased to know Prince Charles didn’t make the Irish people feel bored during his visit.
Prince Charles will be celebrating his 70th birthday this year. And his approach may no longer be as modern as Prince Harry’s.
The Duke of Sussex also expressed his excitement over his recent trip to Ireland. “We’re so pleased to be here for our first international visit together as a married couple, and we hope it will be the first of many! As each other’s closest neighbors, the UK and Ireland’s relationship is unique; our shared history is long and complex. There have of course been challenging, and at times tragic, periods of that relationship,” he said (via Express).
Prince Harry went on to say that he and his wife will visit Croke Park and the Famine Memorial. While there, the royal couple hopes to reflect on the difficult passages in the two country’s history.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle will also visit EPIC, a famed Irish Emigration Museum during their official tour. While there, the royal couple will hear the stories of the 10 million Irish people that emigrated across the world.
Kensington Palace released a statement regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s visit to Ireland and said, “The royal couple is looking forward to learning more about Ireland’s history and experiencing its rich culture, as well as meeting the people who are shaping the country’s future.”
Meanwhile, Markle showed off her skills in calligraphy when they signed the guest book at Irish prime minister Leo Varadkar’s private office. Prince Harry signed his name first, and he was followed by his wife.
He commented after seeing Markle’s handwriting, “Yours is much nicer than mine!”
According to People, Markle previously worked as a calligrapher at Paper Source.
