Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly not heard from the royal family ever since they did their controversial interview.

A source told People that the royal couple’s statements about Prince Harry’s alleged feud with Prince William and Markle’s struggles just increased the ill feelings within the British clan.

“There hasn’t been this complete 180. Nothing has changed. They don’t speak, no one is checking in, no one is texting,” the source said.

Royal expert Penny Junor opened up about the Duke and Duchess’ controversial interview weeks ago and called the royal family “strange.” Junor also said that the royal family hasn’t been supporting each other very well.

“They don’t praise one another and never call each other up just to say, ‘That was a great speech,’” she told People.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle have decided to take matters to their own hands by staying away from the royal family even just for a bit. By the end of this month, they will be traveling to the United States to celebrate the holidays with Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland.

Prince Harry, Markle and their son Archie are expected to stay in the U.S. until the end of December. A source close to the royal couple told the publication that everyone is hoping that the Sussexes will come back from their trip stronger than ever.

“Just on a human level, if you take everything else out of the equation, I don’t think they’re in very good shape to deal with anything right now. Everyone is hoping that they will come back from this break stronger than ever, and maybe with some time out of the spotlight, they can figure out what path to take next,” the source said.

Meanwhile, there are also some rumors suggesting that Prince Harry and Markle could be leaving the royal family for good. But it is highly unlikely that this will happen because they have tons of royal responsibilities.
