Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Accused Of ‘Taking Away Royal Mystique’ This Way
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just been accused of taking away royal mystique after they greeted Prince Louis on social media.
Earlier this week, Kensington Palace uploaded a series of photos of Prince Louis to commemorate his first birthday. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now have their own Instagram account, commented on one of the photos.
“Happy Birthday Louis! Sending lots of love from both of us xo,” the comment read.
Royal fans became visibly upset with how Prince Harry and Markle referenced Prince Louis in their comment. One of them urged the couple of use the official title of Prince William and Middleton’s youngest child.
“This is a public forum, not a private home. It takes away from the royal mystique to make the BRF sound too every day,” one person commented.
Another royal fan reminded the couple that they should have referenced the toddler as Prince Louis, especially since the latter outranks both of them. Prince Louis is currently fifth in line to the throne, while Prince Harry is just sixth in line to the throne.
“He is a prince… and also 5th in line so should be addressed by his title as a show of respect… not just Louis,” one person commented.
Another royal fan wondered why Prince Harry and Markle did not just post a photo of Prince Louis on their page especially now that they have their own account.
Meanwhile, there are also some Markle and Prince Harry supporters that came to the couple’s defense. One of them said that Prince Louis is the nephew of Prince Harry and Markle so they most likely call him by his first name and do not normally include his title.
In related news, Markle once again heightened speculation that she’s really the one writing the posts on their Instagram account. The fact that the greeting included “xo” suggests that it could really be the former actress. Markle used to write the same thing on her personal Instagram account before marrying Prince Harry.
