Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Bought Their Christmas Tree From This Store

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle purchased their first Christmas tree last year, and they will most likely have another one this year.

Pines and Needles in Battersea Park sells trees that were planted in Africa through TreeAid. Founders Sam and Josh Lyle were surprised to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walk through the door of their store in December of last year.

“We have looked after some of Britain’s highest profile names for nearly 20 years but you could have heard a pin drop – or a needle – when Prince Harry and Meghan walked into the store. They were completely charming together and blissfully unaware that our jaws had hit the floor,” they told Express.

The store owners revealed that Prince Harry and Markle bought a gorgeous Nordmann Fir Christmas tree. They left the store after exchanging Christmas pleasantries with the staff.

This year, Prince Harry and Markle will be celebrating their first Christmas as a married couple, so they will most likely go all out this holiday season. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend some time in Sandringham where they will be celebrating Christmas with Queen Elizabeth, Doria Ragland, and the other members of the royal family.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle also made headlines today after the real reason why the former gave Princess Diana’s engagement ring to Prince William and Kate Middleton was revealed.

Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, said in Amazon Prime documentary “The Diana Story” that Prince William was the one that picked out Princess Diana’s Cartier watch first. Prince Harry said that he wanted his mom’s blue sapphire engagement ring.

But when the royal siblings grew up, Prince Harry decided to give Prince William their mom’s engagement ring when the Duke of Cambridge already wanted to propose to Middleton.

“Harry said to him: ‘Wouldn’t it be fitting if she had mommy’s ring? Then one day that ring will be sat on the throne of England,’” Burrell said.

Burrell’s revelation came in the heels of rumors that Prince Harry and Prince William are feuding with each other.
