Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of hiding their son’s face when they released a photo of him on Father’s Day.

The snap, which was uploaded on the royal couple’s official Instagram account, shows only half of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s facial features. The color of Archie’s hair is also not revealed because the snap is in black and white.

Weeks later, a parenting expert explained to Express why Prince Harry and Markle seemed to hide their son’s face even though this wasn’t really their intention.

“The Duke and Duchess are clearly proud parents and will likely be spending these first months as new parents getting to know their baby. All parents have the right to request anonymity for their child if they so wish and spend the first part of their baby’s life bonding and learning more about them,” Victoria Jennings said.

Jennings also said that it is up to the parents to decide how many photos of their children they want to share online. The expert also used herself as an example and said that she decided very early on to share photos of her children online.

“One could argue that all children should be allowed anonymity and should Meghan and Harry prefer to keep baby Archie out of the spotlight then their wishes would be respected. At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong in parenting and no one should be judged for wanting the best for their child,” she said.

As such, it is Prince Harry and Markle’s protective parenting tactics that have encouraged them to not show their son’s face fully in his recent photo. But next month, royal fans are expected to once again catch a glimpse of the youngest member of the royal family.

Archie will be baptized sometime in July and there are speculations that it would take place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
