Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Wedding: Prince William To Be His Best Man?

Prince Harry wants his older brother, Prince William, to be his best man when he marries Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry and Markle have remained mum about most of their wedding plans, but more information about their big day continues to leak as the next royal wedding draws near. For the latest royal wedding news, an insider has claimed that Prince Harry wanted the Duke of Cambridge to be his best man and won't trust anyone else with the job.

"Harry has several close guy friends, but there's no way he would ask anyone but William to take on the top job," one insider told Us Weekly.

If this is indeed true, it does not come as a surprise as the brothers have maintained a good relationship growing up and have attended many royal engagements together with Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, over the years.

In addition, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will likely have roles in their uncle's wedding. Another insider said that Jessica Mulroney's daughter, Ivy, will also be part of the entourage. Mulroney is a friend and stylist of the "Suits" actress.

However, while Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will likely be part of the next royal wedding, Middleton might not join them in the entourage. An insider previously revealed that it is unlikely for the Duchess of Cambridge to be Markle's matron of honor. In fact, the royal mom-of-two , soon to be mom-of-three, might not even attend the "Horrible Bosses" star's bridal party because she barely knows the bride-to-be.

"For another, she is the future queen consort when William becomes king after his father, and would unlikely be an attending person to another royal bride," Marlene Koenig told Town & Country. "But it's unlikely for Catherine to do this. She was not a matron of honor, even at her sister's wedding."

In other wedding news, Prince Harry and Markle's wedding cake will reportedly be made from bananas. The couple loves the fruit, so they apparently want to have a banana cake instead of the traditional fruit cake for their reception. "This will be the first royal wedding cake made from banana," one source said.

Rosalind Miller, an award-winning wedding cake designer, also thinks that Prince Harry and Markle may prefer flavored sponges because "people are becoming more aware of different flavors."
