Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Engagement Photo Recreated By This Hollywood Couple
Meghan Markle’s good friend, Priyanka Chopra, recently recreated her engagement photo with Prince Harry.
Chopra, who is currently dating Nick Jonas, attended Ralph Lauren’s New York Fashion Week event last weekend. The couple posed for a photographer, and royal fans couldn’t help but notice how similar their body language looked with that of Prince Harry and Markle.
Both photos were taken by Alex Lubomirski, and both snaps also featured the same poses for Prince Harry and Jonas. The Duke of Sussex and the actor-singer are seen sitting above their partners. Markle and Chopra, on the other hand, positioned their hands to display their engagement rings, respectively.
According to Cosmopolitan, Chopra and Jonas have become even closer to Prince Harry and Markle. This summer, the couple visited the royals in Oxfordshire. Chopra also attended Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding on May 19 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
In July, royal fans also wondered whether or not Markle and Prince Harry will attend Chopra and Jonas’ wedding. By the looks of it, they will free up their schedule to be present at the “Quantico” star’s big day.
But the bigger question is whether or not Markle could serve as one of Chopra’s bridesmaids considering that she’s now a royal. Omid Scobie, a royal commentator, told Cosmopolitan that Markle may serve as a bridesmaid for Chopra because there are no royal rules preventing her from doing so. However, it is highly unlikely that she will be given the role.
“There is no protocol that dictates whether an adult female member of the British royal family can take on the role of a bridesmaid or maid of honor at a non-royal’s wedding. However, it is an unlikely scenario for one simple reason: A female royal would not be expected to walk behind a ‘commoner.’ This is why in the past we saw Pippa Middleton as Duchess Kate’s maid of honor, but when Pippa got married, Kate read a prayer,” Scobie said.
