Prince Harry, Meghan’s Body Language At Cookbook Launch Says This About Marriage
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s body language at the recent cookbook launch has just been analyzed by experts.
Patti Wood, a body language expert, told Good Housekeeping that the recent outing was the first time that the royal couple didn’t make each other their priority. After all, Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, was with them.
“It’s clear Harry prioritized his wife and his mother-in-law since they were the guests of honor and he was simply there as a cheerleader,” Wood said.
Upon arriving in the venue, Markle got out of the car, and she walked with her mom. The Duchess of Sussex didn’t wait for Prince Harry, and he just happily followed the two women.
“Despite the difference, he’s at ease. In fact, there’s still a playful nature about him,” Wood said.
While speaking to the crowd, Markle was also seen playing with her wedding band. Prince Harry also did a similar gesture while listening to his wife talk. Susan Constantine, a human behavioral expert, explained why this might have happened.
“This has different meanings depending on the environment. In this case, it’s likely because their husband or wife is foremost on the mind,” she said.
Constantine also discussed the several times that Markle looked at her mom to check how she was doing during the recent outing.
“You could see their nerves. Every now and again, Meghan would take quick glances to check on her mother, which indicates that she was distracted by the newness of it all. When speaking, both women would talk with their palms up and fingers open, which symbolizes honesty, collaboration, and feedback,” she said.
But even though the event somewhat revolved around Markle and her mom, Prince Harry also did a sweet gesture that reminded everyone he was also there. When his wife’s hair was blown by the wind, Prince Harry held them back and kept them in place.
Markle gave out a short giggle before continuing on with her discussion. But Prince Harry placed his chin on Markle’s shoulder to once again make everyone feel that he’s so much a part of the occasion as everyone else.
