Prince Harry Misses Prince William And Kate Middleton's Children George, Charlotte And Louis: Report
KEY POINTS
- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are "extremely fond" of their uncle Prince Harry, a report says
- Princess Charlotte reportedly considers Prince Harry one of her "role models"
- Prince William and Kate Middleton's only daughter reportedly also adores the Queen and Prince Charles
Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children reportedly adore their uncle Prince Harry, who is preparing for his family's return to the U.K. for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
Prince Harry misses Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, "very much" after he stepped back from his role as a working royal and moved to California with his family in 2020, an unnamed insider told Us Weekly.
"They’re extremely fond of him also," the source said of the Cambridge kids. "Charlotte will send everyone in the family thoughtful gifts and cards, and at the very least, they’ll call as a family to sing happy birthdays and so on."
Prince William and Duchess Kate's only daughter, who celebrated her birthday earlier this month, "very much" views Prince Harry as one of "her role models," the tipster added.
"She adores [Queen Elizabeth II] and her grandpa [Prince] Charles dotes on her in a big way," the source continued. "They're very proud of the person she's developing into, just as they are with George and Louis."
Prince Harry is a doting uncle to his nephews and niece. When he was still living in Kensington Palace, he gifted Prince George an electric SUV and Princess Charlotte a tricycle. On the little royal's christening, Prince Harry also gave Prince Louis the first edition of A.A. Milne's classic "Winnie-the-Pooh," Town & Country reported.
Prince William and Middleton's three kids are closer to the throne than Prince Harry, who is sixth in the line of succession.
The insider said that the Queen, Prince Charles and other senior royals find it "extremely comforting" that the future of the royal family "is safe with this next generation at the helm."
"Obviously this is a big testament to the manner in which they’re being raised by William and Kate, and the fact they’ve had decent values and morals instilled at them from the very beginning of their life journey," Us Weekly's source said of Prince George and his siblings.
Prince William recently put his differences with his younger brother aside to honor his nephew Archie's third birthday on May 6, just days after his own daughter Princess Charlotte turned 7.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared via Twitter a throwback photo from Archie's 2019 christening, writing in the caption: "Wishing Archie a very happy 3rd birthday today."
Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth also honored Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's eldest child on his special day via their respective social media accounts.
The Sussexes are also parents to 11-month-old daughter Lilibet Diana.
Prince Harry will get to see Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis next month as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed that they will return to the U.K. for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations as a family of four.
Prince Harry and Markle visited the Queen in Windsor Castle last month before heading to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, but their U.K. pit stop coincided with the Cambridges' Easter holiday ski trip to the French Alps.
The Sussexes' upcoming return to the U.K. will mark Prince William, Duchess Kate, the Queen and the other royals' first time meeting baby Lilibet in person and their first reunion with Archie in over two years.
