Prince Harry ‘Sever Ties’ With Exes Chelsy, Cressida After Marrying Meghan Markle
Prince Harry has very little to do with his exes Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas now that he is already married to Meghan Markle.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, royal biographer Katie Nicholl was asked if the Duke of Sussex is still in touch with Cressida and Chelsy. The “Harry & Meghan: Life, Loss, and Love” author revealed that Prince Harry doesn’t have “much of a relationship” with them anymore.
“As you would expect and understand, when Harry eventually got married, he was always going to sever ties with his exes,” the royal expert said before adding that “he has very little to do with them now.”
“He had a sort of farewell conversation with Chelsy where he spoke to her to basically say goodbye, and I think probably Cressida and Chelsy both knew that after the wedding they wouldn't see much of Prince Harry,” Nicholl said.
Aside from severing his ties with his exes, Nicholl also revealed that the soon-to-be dad has trimmed down his circle of friends. Prince Harry barely sees his old friends from Eton and Ludgrove. Prince William’s brother is very focused on his marriage and wife.
As for the reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex cut ties with their friends due to press leaks, Nicholl confirmed that it’s possible since some of their extended circle have spoken out.
“It's very likely that there was a cutting down, an editing of Harry's friends and also of Meghan’s,” she said.
Last week, it was reported that Prince Harry “frozen out” his childhood best friend Tom “Skippy” Inskip after the latter disapproved of his plans to marry Markle. Despite the claim, Inskip was spotted attending Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding last May with his wife, Lara.
However, one should also note that both Chelsy and Cressida were invited to the royal wedding before Prince Harry cut his connection with them. Following the event, Cressida revealed that dressing up and choosing a hat for the occasion was the most challenging part for her.
In related news, Prince Harry and Markle have officially joined Instagram and the royal couple has already amassed over three million followers just days after announcing their new social media account. However, it has been recently learned that their Twitter handle is already taken. A different user apparently has the “sussexroyal” handle.
