Prince Harry Uttered This ‘Cheeky Joke’ During Meeting With Footballer Peter Crouch

Prince Harry reportedly uttered a cheeky joke when he first met footballer Peter Crouch.

The athlete revealed that the Duke of Sussex approached him while they were in the changing rooms. Meghan Markle’s wife asked the footballer how he bagged his wife, Abbey Clancy. Upon hearing the question, Crouch was taken aback by what Prince Harry told him.

Clancy, 32, is a supermodel and mom of three kids. Crouch revealed that Prince Harry’s question was aimed at him jokingly but in an insulting manner.

“It was definitely along those lines. He was dissing me. He laughed his head off and then walked off, and I was like: ‘that just happened,” Crouch said.

Martina Bet, a journalist for Express, said that it is not surprising for Prince Harry to make occasional jokes because he loves to banter. Penny Junor, a royal biographer, previously said that Prince Harry has the ability to make anyone laugh within seconds. He also typically makes jokes at his expense or that of other people.

David Wiseman, a former soldier, said that Prince Harry can easily act like his true self when he is around fellow army veterans.

“He does have a cheeky side. He likes a joke, he likes his banter. But there are only very few situations where he can let that shine, and one of those is when he’s around the lads,” Wiseman said.

In related news, Prince Harry recently celebrated his 34^th birthday, and Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, made a swipe at him on her Twitter account. Samantha posted a photo of a hamster wearing a birthday hat and eating a birthday cake and likened it to the Duke of Sussex.

“Happy Birthday Harry! As you ‘mack down’ on your birthday cake, think about the birthday wishes you never extended to your father-in-law,” she wrote.

Samantha’s greeting is quite similar to what she posted on Markle’s 37^th birthday on Aug. 4.

“Happy Birthday Meg! It would be so lovely and appropriate of you to send DAD a BELATED birthday card for his July 18^th birthday,” she wrote.

Samantha and her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., have been feuding with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for months.
