For members of the royal family, dating is never easy and for Prince Harry, the experience caused him to suffer from a massive amount of “paranoia.” Although the Duke of Sussex is now married to Meghan Markle, maintaining a relationship has been a challenge for the Prince.

In the book, “Prince Harry: The Inside Story,” author Duncan Larcombe revealed Harry often worried about dating and talking to women due to the media attention his family received.

The royal biographer shared details from a conversation he had with Harry in which the Prince shared his fears about dating. “He went on to admit feeling ‘massive paranoia’ about even talking to women, because of the attention,” Larcombe wrote.

“‘Even if I talk to a girl, that person is then suddenly my wife, and people go knocking on her door,’ he said.”

Despite his reservations, Harry allegedly told Larcombe he planned on doing his best to protect his future girlfriend from the invasion of privacy that comes along with dating a member of the royal family.

“‘If or when I do find a girlfriend, I will do my utmost to ensure that me and her can get to the point where we’re comfortable before the massive invasion that is inevitably going to happen into her privacy’, he said.”

While Harry was initially able to hide his relationship with Meghan for several months, details about their romance were revealed, and the Prince issued a statement urging outsiders to respect the former “Suits” star’s privacy.

Meghan and Prince Harry married in May 2018 and will welcome their first child together in spring 2019.
