KEY POINTS
- Prince Harry is struggling in Canada
- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still worried about their privacy in Canada
- Meghan Markle reportedly doesn't miss the royal family
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly struggling in Canada. Contrary to previous reports, the royal couple is not having the time of their life in their new home.
Nacho Figueras, one of Prince Harry’s close friends, appeared on the ABC News special “Royal Divide: Harry, Meghan, and The Crown” this week. Figueras revealed that he spoke to the Duke of Sussex a few days ago.
“He has suffered a lot from all of the things that have happened to him. He wants to live a normal life, as normal as his life is going to be right? Because when you have a thousand paparazzi outside your house in Canada waiting to get one picture of your son that's not very, very normal,” he said.
One of the reasons why Prince Harry and Markle decided to quit the royal family was because of their privacy. As members of The Firm, the paparazzi closely followed them everywhere they went.
Unfortunately, even though they are no longer considered as working royals, they are still getting the same treatment from the press.
Figueras went on to say that Prince Harry’s other reason for quitting was to protect his family.
“He was a son of someone that has suffered the attack from the press firsthand [his mother Princess Diana], and it's undeniable, and he doesn't want for that to happen to his family,” he said.
Meanwhile, a source recently told Closer Weekly that Prince Harry and Markle are enjoying their newfound privacy in Canada. The royal couple reportedly lives in a mansion, and she’s happy to be able to do the things that she wasn’t able to do as a royal.
For instance, Markle cooks for Prince Harry every night. She also gets to wear whatever she wants. The source said the “Suits” alum is 100 percent happy with her decision to quit, and she doesn’t miss the royal family even just a little bit.
