Prince Harry’s Heartbreaking Reason For Being Overprotective Of Meghan Markle Revealed

Prince Harry is desperate to protect Meghan Markle because he failed to do the same thing for his mom, Princess Diana.

According to Emily Andrews, Prince Harry couldn’t protect his mother, so he is going all out in protecting his wife, Markle, from any harm that comes her way. This is the Duke of Sussex’s way of atoning.

In 2016, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were just dating, Markle was subjected to sexist and racist treatment. Prince Harry made a bold move by releasing a statement to air his concern about the unfair treatment that Markle received from the press.

“His girlfriend Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment... the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces’ and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments,” the statement read.

“Prince Harry is worried about Ms Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her,” the statement continued, adding that it’s not a game because it’s Prince Harry and Markle’s life.

A number of netizens think that Prince Harry’s effort to protect Markle was just appropriate because they are treating her like Princess Diana. Journalist Jane Merrick called out trolls and asked them to leave Markle alone just like the late Princess of Wales.

“Like Diana, certain ‘news’ papers (and that loathsome narcissist Piers Morgan) won’t be happy until the poor woman has been ostracised from the Royal Family, divorced and cast out like the ‘upstart’ she apparently is,” one netizen wrote, adding that the sustained attack on Markle was “actually shocking.”

Another netizen wrote that the UK media “literally hounded Diana to death” and they are doing the same harassment to Markle even if she’s pregnant. This could be the reason why the duchess’ friends opted to speak out and defend her against the bullying online. A different user opined that Markle needs to behave because Princess Diana never did.

Another suggested that Kensington Palace should do something about it. However, other netizens felt that the palace is also treating Markle unfairly and is actually doing a “terrible job” in defending the Duchess of Sussex because they only respond to reports against Middleton.
