Prince Harry is a working royal like Prince William, so he actually has a number of official jobs.

According to Cosmopolitan, one of Prince Harry’s major roles is to support several charities, some of which he is a patron of. After completing his military service in 2015, Prince Harry took on a number of charitable patronages.

The Royal Family’s website explained, “Royal patronages add status to an organization and visits and involvement from a Royal Patron can often bring much-needed publicity.”

Prince Harry is a patron of WellChild, a charity that helps seriously ill children get out of the hospital and go back home to their families. He is also a patron of a number of organizations that support HIV/AIDS awareness, African conservation and mental health.

The Duke of Sussex also creates his own charities based on issues that he is passionate about. For instance, he launched the Invictus Games after serving in the British Armed Forces for 10 years. Prince Harry and Prince William also set up the Royal Foundation in 2009 so they could pursue more charitable ambitions. Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle joined the charity after they wed the princes.

Another important job that Prince Harry does is represent his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II at various events locally and abroad. The soon-to-be dad has traveled to all seven continents as part of his royal role. He recently flew to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga with Markle for an overseas tour to represent Her Majesty.

Prince Harry is also commodore-in-chief of the Royal Navy and honorary air commandant of Royal Air Force Honington.

And on a personal level, he is a grandson to Prince Philip and the Queen, a son to Prince Charles and Princess Diana, a stepson to Camilla Parker Bowles, an only brother to Prince William, a husband to Markle, and a brother-in-law to Middleton.

In the spring of 2019, he will also become a first-time dad to his and Markle’s baby.
