Prince Harry’s Wife Meghan, Princess Eugenie’s Husband Jack Share This Surprising Connection
Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie’s respective weddings had tons of similarities. And it has now been revealed that even their respective spouses share a surprising connection with each other.
According to Express, Meghan Markle and Jack Brooksbank have both been inspired by wine. On her lifestyle blog, The Tig, the Duchess of Sussex explained why her online platform was named as such.
“Several years ago, I had a sip of wine called Tignanello (pronounced as ‘teen-ya-nello’). But let’s be real – in the states, most people said ‘tig-a-nello’… or just plain old Tig… The Italiano of it gets a little tricky so the bartender kept it simple; it was a glass of Tig,” she wrote.
Princess Eugenie’s husband, on the other hand, is a wine merchant. His company is called Jack Brooksbank Ltd. According to Companies House, Brooksbank’s wine business was set up in 2016 and its headquarters are located in Borehamwood.
Meanwhile, Markle and Brooksbank also share a very obvious similarity: they are both married to members of the royal family and they are also commoners. The “Suits” alum received the official title of Duchess of Sussex after she wed Prince Harry last year.
Brooksbank, on the other hand, didn’t receive a royal title from Queen Elizabeth II because Princess Eugenie is not regarded as a working royal. In 2016, rumors swirled that Prince Andrew demanded the Queen to give his two daughters royal titles.
But the Duke of York denied the claims. At that time, he also said that he wants his children to be considered modern, working young women who happen to be members of the royal family.
In related news, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie were quite close especially when they were much younger. The cousins both wed at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle last year.
It was reported that Princess Eugenie even gave way for Prince Harry to marry Markle first before she and Brooksbank settled down.
