Prince Harry is allegedly causing trouble ahead of Prince Charles' reign, a royal biographer has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently reside in California, but many are convinced that despite the distance, they have caused the royals trouble in their previous interviews, especially the one with Oprah Winfrey last year. Royal biographer Tina Brown spoke with Marie Claire while promoting her new book "The Palace Papers" and weighed in on how Prince Harry's recent behaviors would affect his father's reign.
"Harry has become a disruptive force in the family," Brown told the outlet. "For them, it’s like Diana’s son is continuing the campaign to disrupt Charles’ future reign, and the 'War of the Wales' continues. It’s a very destabilizing factor."
As for the future of the monarchy, the "Diana Chronicles" author believed that it has a bright one during the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's reign. However, she wasn't sure if Prince Harry would also support his sibling.
"When you ask about the future of the monarchy, I think we have in Kate and William absolutely brilliant, well-qualified, and well-trained people positioned as future king and queen," Brown said.
She continued, "Whether Harry will let that reign proceed in a way that everybody hopes is the question. He does seem hell-bent right now on disrupting it. Don’t forget, [Harry’s book] is going to be coming out as that transition [to Charles] is perilously close. We don’t know how long the Queen’s health will hold out. It’s a very fragile moment, and the last thing they need is that IED going off. "
Brown told Page Six when she promoted her book that Prince Charles was closer to his younger son. However, Prince Harry's departure made his father and brother closer.
"Harry going has made them inevitably closer, which is ironic because Charles was much closer to Harry. They had a very warm relationship," Brown said. "It’s very upsetting to Charles apparently. He’s been distraught about the fraying of the relationship. He’s been very, very sad. He’s been very hurt by Harry."
Brown said there was tension between the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge because the former allegedly felt competitive with his son. But the heirs have developed a closer bond as they are "together now trying to figure out what happens after the Queen dies."
